We’re 17 today!
LinkedIn informed me this morning that I’ve been in my job for 17 years!
I started Funds Talent when I was 24 years old. You might think that was smart / amazing / cool, but honestly it wasn’t.
I didn’t know what I didn’t know yet. I remember all the mistakes (and beautiful learnings) I’ve picked up on this journey of entrepreneurship, hard-work, determination, and pure passion. (aka, blood, sweat, and tears).
And I learned something pretty incredible, something I only really fully appreciated the value of recently, when at a recent low.
By the way, I love the lows. After 17 years I can tell you for a FACT that the deeper the low the stronger the bounce-back, the bigger the learn, the wider the view thereafter.
Who needs hindsight when what you’re about to learn is bigger than anything you knew before?
True learning is living. If you’re not learning, you’re not growing. When you’re not learning, it’s over.
I mean quite literally, you’re probably not alive anymore! So, learning is life.
If something feels difficult, remember it’s a GREAT thing. It’s a blessing. We never learn things when we’re winning, the winning comes right after the struggle.
Thank you to all the incredible clients and candidates we’ve worked with over the years, knowing you, and working with you has literally taught me everything I know. It has made me the person I am today, and for that, I’m very grateful to you.
