JP Morgan Asset Management has launched an emerging markets fund called Total Emerging Markets Income Fund. it will combine investments in debt and equity with JPMorgan Funds.
The fund will be domiciled in Luxembourg and will be co-managed by chief investment officer for emerging market equities: Richard Titherington, and chief investment officer for emerging markets debt: Pierre-Yves Bareua.
The CIOs each have more than 25 years of investment experience, and will be supported across 8 global locations by a team of 75 investment professionals.
The pair will adopt a strategic, flexible asset allocation and active risk management through currency overlay and liquidity assessment. The strategy is targeting a 6% gross yield, and combines bottom-up as well as top-down insights.
