Paralegal Fund Set-up / Fund Formation

𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐭-𝐮𝐩 / 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 – 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 (𝐀𝐈𝐅)

Context: This is a pivotal role working together with both inside and outside counsel, in order to research fund formation best practice for a global investment firm in Luxembourg city. Together with marketing, legal, and distribution, you will facilitate and seek out different solutions for the launch and management of alternative investment funds.

The role is a stand along role internally, so we require someone fairly autonomous, but at the same time a strong team player and communicator, capable of working between senior marketing colleagues, legal counsel in the US, and the EU distribution team, many of whom may be located abroad.

Together, you will be problem-solving different questions around fund distribution, fund formation, and fund registration. This will require a smart, creative, out-of-the-box attitude, and someone who is naturally curious and self-questioning.

Reporting directly to the Head of Office, you will be in charge of:

• Overseeing setting up and closing investment funds along with the lawyers.
• Bringing legal support on the launch of alternative investment funds working along with marketing, legal, and distribution across the globe.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements to liaise with investors and the wider legal department.
• Collaborating with and delivering backup support for internal and external teams in charge of fund distribution, fund formation, and fund registration.
• Supporting the US and non-US senior legal interlocutors in maintaining legal and regulatory filing.
• Handling KYC requirements and managing corporate and funds-related matters following company high standards.

The ideal candidate:

• 4+ years of experience in Funds for a Luxembourg law firm, or fund managers.
• Legal education, ideally a LLM.
• English and other languages are a plus.
